EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee acts for and on behalf of the Board of Directors when the Board is not in session. They are also responsible for appointing the members of the Nominating Committee and reviewing, evaluating and providing recommendations in regard to the governance practices of the Association.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee oversees the fiscal affairs of the organization. They review the proposed annual and capital budgets and recommend those budgets to the Board of Directors. They are also responsible for the quarterly review of budget variances and year-end projections and make their recommendations to the Board of Directors.

AUDIT COMMITTEE

The Audit Committee reviews annually The Community House’s financial statements with the independent Certified Public Accountant. They also review and evaluate the accountant’s management letter and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on what action management intends in response to the accountant’s recommendations.

INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

The Investment Committee has general supervisory responsibility for the investment of the organization’s funds in accordance with the investment policy approved by the Board of Directors and presents recommendations regarding investment objectives to the Board of Directors.

GOVERNANCE AND NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The Governance and Nominating Committee investigates and recommends potential candidates for election to the Board of Directors, for election as Officers and for election as members of the Executive Committee and recommends candidates to fill vacancies as required. They also oversee the training and the evaluation of the Board of Directors and committees of the Board of Directors.

CAMPAIGNS COMMITTEE

The Campaigns Committee acts in a leadership and advisory capacity to the President & CEO and the Vice President, The Community House Foundation relating to annual giving, legacy, comprehensive and capital campaigns. Committee members may lead committees, act as ambassadors for the organization or for campaigns, and/or make staff introductions to prospective donors, volunteers or sponsors on behalf of The Community House.
