The third annual SIP Food & Wine Classic, a unique event celebrating the marriage of fantastic cuisine and outstanding wine, kicks off on Friday, September 21st. SIP engages the Michigan restaurant and wine community where exceptional area Chefs and Sommeliers team up to provide food and wine perfection. The event serves as a signature fundraiser for The Community House Foundation, a charitable nonprofit organization under the umbrella of The Community House. In addition to delicious food and wine small plates stations, a wine-centric silent and live auction will give SIP attendees an opportunity to bid on exciting experiences, wine lots, baskets and more.

This fun and festive Kentucky Derby event will take place in the main ballroom at The Community House and will include strolling food stations, beer, wine and cocktails, the running of the 144th Kentucky Derby featured on the big screen, derby themed raffle prizes and a charitable contribution to the mission of our 95 year old nonprofit serving the community. Grab your biggest derby hat and join us for Birmingham Downs!

Who is the President’s Advisory Council? The President’s Advisory Council (PAC) is a supported group of The Community House. The mission of the PAC is to advise and give counsel to the The Community House President & CEO on a wide range of issues with special emphasis on “fostering philanthropy in the next generations; generating funds and support for Community House youth programs and services; and helping to inspire and promote modern leadership and community opportunities.”
