First Steps Start Here

The Community House Early Childhood Center is the home of new beginnings and exciting adventures for children in the early stages of life. Our safe, friendly and nurturing program encourages the development and individuality of each and every child who comes through our doors, allowing them to grow at their own pace.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Children ages six weeks to eight years are able to experience our active learning environment where they develop problem solving skills through the use of the nationally recognized HighScope curriculum we have in place. The HighScope approach, founded by Dr. David Weikart, is based on key learning indicators rather than traditional preschool themes, meaning we provide the children with opportunities to develop their critical thinking skills through dynamic learning sessions.

We like to call it our "Hidden Agenda" curriculum – the children are continuously learning while doing activities they think are fun!
