Their Place to Prepare
Being a preschooler means many new and exciting changes for your child. In the Early Childhood Center Preschool Room, children ages 2 1/2 to 4 years old gain a deeper understanding of the world around them, a newfound way to express themselves and a stronger sense of self-confidence. This is the time where academic focus becomes more evident and clearly defined.
Getting your child ready to attend kindergarten is important to our teachers. Our Preschool curriculum follows the nationally recognized HighScope program. The HighScope approach, founded by Dr. David Weikart, is based on key learning indicators (KDI’s) rather than traditional preschool themes, meaning we provide the children with opportunities to develop their critical thinking skills through dynamic learning sessions. We also offer many extracurricular options such as movement, Computers and Dance. Our staff conduct assessments three times per year and parent/teacher conferences give you a chance to track your child’s exciting progress!
The ECC also provides a nutritious breakfast and lunch along with morning and afternoon snacks to ensure the children are energized and ready to learn.
