This is the 23rd year for this ever popular event! OUR TOWN is an all-media art show and sale featuring Michigan artists. The event will kickoff with the Opening Night party on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 and will be open to the public, free of charge October 16-18.
Funds raised help support The Community House outreach programs. The name was inspired by the original theme requirement, which has since been broadened to reflect the tradition of our town as a center for culture and fine arts. All artwork is for sale!
Artists Demonstrations will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday. See how these talented artists create their works of art, and get some inside tips on how they achieve the desired outcome. From watercolors to mixed media there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Barbara Heller, Chief Conservator at the Detroit Institute of Arts, returns as this year’s juror.
