CALENDAR
Schedule for 2007/2008 Season
Fall Term: Wednesday, September 5, 2007– Saturday, January 19, 2008
Winter Term: Monday, January 21, 2008 – Monday, June 9, 2008
A formal Spring Dance Production is presented every other year. An informal student demonstration is given in the alternate year. Additional performance opportunity is available to interested and qualifying students.
Summer Term: A summer session begins in June each year.
Dance Camp: A one week dance intensive is offered for serious students who desire to improve their technique, study with master teachers, and experience a variety of dance genres such as character, Hawaiian and modern.
TUITION
There are no refunds or pro-rated tuition due to absences. Students beginning the term late must pay the full amount for class or be charged a single class fee of $14 per class for remaining classes in the term, whichever amount is less. Students withdrawing from class will be charged a single class fee of $14 per class up to the day of cancellation. Tuition must be paid in a timely manner. For your convenience a payment plan is available for multiple classes. Fall term payment plan balances are due November 9 and Winter term balances by March 21. There is a $10 fee for each overdue balance.
TARDINESS
Promptness is essential due to importance of a complete warm-up. Late-comers may participate at the teacher’s discretion. If there is insufficient warm-up time left the student may be asked to observe.
Dance Etiquette: When entering class late, the student should ask permission to participate.
ABSENCE
Please call the school if your child will be absent from class. Your instructor will give you optional classes for a makeup. Makeup classes cannot be carried into next term. Dance Etiquette: Technique and choreography are progressive and build from class to class. Excessive absences will inhibit a dancer’s growth.
VISITORS
Classes may be viewed through the observation windows at the teachers’ discretion. Children/siblings must be supervised by their parent/guardian while in the waiting area. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend “Observation Week” on the 9th and 17th lesson week of each semester to watch their child’s progress.
